Booth Radiology supports Relay for Life

Booth Radiology made a commitment in the spring of 2010 to put together a team and raise money for the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. We began fundraising with Dollar Dog Wednesday’s which were a huge success. We followed with other fundraisers such as cupcake sales, special luncheons such as Pilgrim Pub sandwich lunch and other specialized lunches that employees contributed the food items and proceeds went to the Relay fund.

We had a bowling event, sold purple long sleeved Logo T-shirts, Booth Radiology Tote Bags and raffle tickets. During October we had a breast cancer awareness jean day and for a $5 donation, employees were allowed to wear jeans for the day. With the help of a matching contribution from Booth Radiology we raised $21,902.50 for Relay for Life.

The night of the event there was a lot of excitement in the air. There was special recognition for Team Booth Radiology as Hope Sponsor and the event had many activities throughout the night. Team Booth had 25 walkers that helped us stay awake for the overnight relay. Booth provided pizzas and sodas for the walkers. It was a great evening and everyone was humbled by the lighting of the luminaries in honor of and in memory of those battling cancer. The walking path was lit up as the lights went out.

There were many employees that participated in many different ways to make this fundraising a huge success. We are ready to begin the new year of fundraising and have already raised $600.00 from our water ice and hot dog lunches. Team Booth Radiology is working hard to bring more birthdays to those family, friends and patients that are battling cancer.
